Kira's 2nd birthday party!

Kira’s 2nd birthday party was a great success! We had a really nice turnout. Lots of our friends and family were there making the day very special and memorable for us. We rented a bounce house, ate LOTS of food and we had a water balloon toss/fight and a 3 legged race. That was kind of painful! We handed out candy and bubbles for prizes. The bounce house had images of Tinker bell on it and we had balloons and a tinkerbell banner and mural for decorations. We also got a couple cakes from Costco and stuck a tinkerbell doll on the top of the cake. So cute!! Kira was so excited! When the bounce house arrived in the early afternoon she was so excited to get in it right away and start jumping. So Ian, me, Zoey and Kira had a fun time jumping while no one else was there yet. Then Amber and Blake arrived so me and Amber ran to Costco to get the cake and get fruits and vegetables. We spent the afternoon decorating and cutting up fruit and preparing veggies trays while Ian and Blake put up the tables/chairs/bounce house/mural and decorated outside. Connie and Sini Afu got here early with Lesina and Isaiah so they could jump before the big kids got there. Then more guests started arriving. We had a prayer so everyone could dig into the food. Mila made a TON of spaghetti and also provided hot wings. Everyone helped! It was so great! Chris and Rachel brought drinks and garlic bread. Amber also brought drinks and a salad and my mom brought more fruit. Then we played our games and had cake and opened gifts. Kira was so funny when she was opening her gifts. She would open 1 and then just want to play with that one. She’d try to run away so I’d have to snatch her up to open another one. She was so cute because she’d get so excited when she saw a toy inside a gift bag or got to tear open wrapping paper. She was dancing all over and being so silly, putting on quite a show for all of us who were watching. I liked all the toys and clothes she got. =) Then we got some cash and gift cards so we got to go shopping for some long sleeve outfits for this coming up winter and a couple other cool toys I had been wanting for her. That was super fun for me! It was such a nice party. It was so fun and enjoyable to spend a special day with such close friends. We were so pleased with the amount of love we received from friends and family. =) Thank you to everyone who came and supported us and for your great gifts and all the help with the food! We love you all!
